THE CENTER, ENTRUSTED WITH A UNIQUE HISTORIC LANDMARK, IS DEDICATED TO PRESERVING AND MAINTAINING THE ACADEMY BUILDING, TO PROVIDING A WELCOMING COMMUNITY SPACE, AND TO PRESENT PROGRAMS IN THE ARTS AND HUMANITIES FOR COLUMBIA COUNTY AND ITS NEIGHBORS.

PERFORMING ARTS: THE ORGANIZATION PRESENTS MUSICAL, LITERARY, AND DRAMATIC PROGRAMMING OF ALL GENRES, AS WELL AS WORKSHOPS AND LECTURES ON TOPICS OF INTEREST TO THE COMMUNITY IN THE AUDITORIUM SPACE.THE ORGANIZATION RECEIVED AN IN-KIND CONTRIBUTION FROM THE TOWN OF AUSTERLITZ EQUAL TO THE FAIR MARKET VALUE OF RENT FOR THE HISTORICAL BUILDING THE ORGANIZATION USES UNDER THE TERMS OF AN OPERATING LEASE THAT RUNS THROUGH AUGUST 2086. THE FAIR VALUE OF THE RENTAL WAS ESTIMATED TO BE $15, 600. THE FAIR VALUE AMOUNT IS NOT REFLECTED IN THE INCOME OR EXPENSE AMOUNTS OF THE ORGANIZATION PER IRS GUIDELINES.
