Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Senior services provides medical and social services to empower neighborhood seniors to remain in their own home, including in-home nursing care, home health aide, homemaking services, staff in-home visits and staff assessments, case management, Meals on Wheels hot home lunch delivery (more than 20,000 delivered meals in 2007), senior activities and coordination with other social service and health agencies.
Family Outreach serves as a central contact for West 7th residents seeking resources, including crisis management, housing, food, employment, chemical dependency, taxes, legal issues and parenting support, offering help to more than 2,300 families or individuals last year.
Children and Youth Services offers an afterschool program for 60 childrens, an 8-week summer school serving 80 students, and a variety of related family activities and support.
Gathering Programs offered by West 7th include neighborhood dinners, holiday toy program, cinema nights, National Night Out parties, and annual women's health and senior health fairs attracted more than 2,000 clients and guests last year.
