Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
• Teach the techniques of competitive swimming.
• Develop sound stroke mechanics.
• Increase physical strength while building cardiovascular endurance.
• Provide each team member with individual attention, regardless of age or experience level.
• Promote team spirit and unity through competition and social interaction.
• Develop a sense of commitment and responsibility required for achieving individual success.
• Promote the psychological development of each athlete by providing goal achievement programs resulting in positive self-esteem and a sense of accomplishment.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Offering programs from swim lessons to national swim meet attendance with top coaches.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
We use 2 local high school pools as well as Indiana University's CBAC to train and compete in. We employ 2 full time coaches as well as multiple part time coaches.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
In 2018 we had over 50 swimmers attend the Divisionals Meet, 20 attend the State Meet, 7 swimmers attend the Zones Meet in Ohio, as well as 1 swimmer attend the Futures Meet in North Carolina. The next goal is to increase these numbers and have swimmers make the cuts for Jr Nationals and Nationals.
