Mission

The Women's Center's mission is to significantly improve the mental health and well-being of all members of the community through counseling, education, support and advocacy. Since 1974, the Center has grown to provide mental health counseling, domestic and sexual violence support and advocacy services, financial and career counseling, mediation, educational programs, and referral assistance. The Center provides services on an ability-to-pay fee scale and partners with private and public agencies to create a safety net for our community's most vulnerable residents.

The Women's Center's provides services across the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Services include: Individual and group counseling; Psychological and personality assessments;
Separation and divorce support and legal services; Professional and career development programs, including the Information and Career Advisory Network (ICAN), a mentoring program; Financial education workshops and advisory services; Personal growth and effectiveness programs.
