Mid-America Transplant

As a federally-designated organ procurement organization, Mid-America Transplant facilitates the organ and tissue donation process for its designated service area, which encompasses parts of Missouri, Illinois, and Arkansas. We build awareness of organ and tissue donation, collaborating with hospitals, transplant centers, medical examiners, and coroners in our region to ensure that every family that wishes to donate their loved one's organs and tissues has the opportunity to do so. As the first organization of its kind to open an onsite organ and tissue recovery facility, we are able to provide even more high-quality organs, tissues, and corneas for transplant. Our highly trained staff applies the principles of evidence-based critical care medicine to gain precise control over the timing, quality, and reliability of transplant services. We support donor families, transplant families, and our community, and support research seeking to improve the outcomes of donation and transplantation
