All of us at the Women's Center of Jacksonville envision a community where women are provided with the platform to succeed in all aspects of life. We work diligently to provide high-quality and compassionate programming, including rape recovery, mental health counseling and community education. We are proud to say that we are a resource for ALL and never turn women away due to an inability to pay for services.

The Rape Recovery Team provides a 24/7 rape crisis hotline and advocates are available for crisis intervention, on-site advocacy, accompaniment and long term support to all victims of sexual assault age 12 and up. The Women's Center of Jacksonville is the only certified Rape Crisis Center in Northeast Florida, serving Duval, Nassau and Baker Counties. The Rape Recovery Department includes a specialized program that provides training and direct services to elders who are neglected, exploited and/or sexually or physically abused; a bystander prevention program at a local university; sexual assault forensic exams; and satellite offices in Baker and Nassau Counties.

The Mental Health Counseling Department provides therapy to individuals, couples, and families at a low cost with a sliding scale fee; provides trauma treatment for victims of sexual assault age 12 and up and for adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse at no charge.

The Community Education Department provides adult education through a gender specific literacy program for both women and their children; support, education, advocacy for breast cancer survivors; and training for law enforcement and the judiciary on Abuse in Later Life.

The Women's Center of Jacksonville also provides information and referral services to all who call our main number or our Hotline and who may walk through our doors.

The staff and Board of Directors of the Women's Center of Jacksonville are dedicated to providing a safe and inclusive environment where women and families feel supported.

Senior administrative staff are experienced with managing and administering funds from Federal, state and city grants as well as other funding sources. Monitoring visits have been conducted by Department of Health (DOH), the Florida Council Against Sexual Violence (FCASV) and the Attorney General’s Office with excellent ratings of internal operations, fiscal responsibility, and reporting. The Finance staff performs all finance functions, including the annual budgeting process, under the direction of the Executive Director and the Finance Committee of the Board which is chaired by the Treasurer.

The Women's Center has a commitment to data-driven strategic leadership in the provision of social services. This means that we diligently measure the efforts we extend on behalf of our clients, and seek to understand the relationship between those efforts and client outcomes. By understanding this relationship, we are able to continuously improve our services in pursuit of improving outcomes.

In October of 2018, the Women's Center recognized four years of the provision of sexual assault forensic exam services to the victims of sexual violence in the greater Jacksonville area. For the whole of our tenure, we have tracked the details of service provision and client demographics. Our dedication to precise and timely reporting is a reflection of our data-driven approach to process improvement.

Throughout Fiscal Year 2017-2018, the Women's Center of Jacksonville opened the J. Wayne and Delores Barr Weaver SAFE Center and performed 352 sexual assault forensic exams, fielded over 2,600 calls on our 24-Hour Rape Crisis Hotline, helped 422 individuals with free or low-cost mental health counseling and provided 1,400 women with breast cancer support, education and advocacy.
