Mission

To provide a safe, nurturing, dynamic learning environment where people are empowered to succeed. We do this through experiential, primarily outdoor education-based learning programs, most notably youth camp experiences for all children including those with special needs, as well as retreats, workshops, and educational and professional development programs for youth and adults.

Summer Camp Programs

Camp Nuhop provides six residential sessions for youth with diagnoses such as, but not limited to: autism spectrum disorder, learning disabilities, attention deficit, mood disorders, and neuroatypical children.

Each camp session offers programs that range from on-campus Traditional and Specialty Camps to off-campus based programs called Trip Camps.

Our campers leave with a new sense of their abilities and self-worth, ready to face the everyday challenges of home, school, and beyond. Most Nuhop campers return year after year. Each year provides a new level of accomplishment continuing to build confidence for those familiar with the program and create new possibilities for success and friendship.

Camp Nuhop's unique outdoor education program provides students with the opportunity to become more aware of the natural world through exciting hands-on experiences and develop academic and interpersonal skills while learning from the natural world.

By participating in our outdoor education camps, students can increase their self-awareness, independence, and confidence while also learning to respect and appreciate the environment and their peers.

Students may visit camp anywhere from 2-5 days for a residential stay, or Nuhop staff can travel to schools or local parks for short-term field trips. No matter the length of the trip, our goal is to provide each student with a safe, nurturing, dynamic learning environment where they are empowered to succeed.

Investing in the human capital within your organization is essential to its growth. Nuhop has developed a series of organization team building activities that shed light on organizational concepts that traditionally take years to integrate into the workplace. Nuhop's team development programs create an atmosphere where participants are required to act intuitively and encouraged to step away from their existing work roles.

Through an in-depth needs assessment, Nuhop is able to integrate specific organizational core values, objectives, and goals into a customized curriculum that leads to stronger decision making as a team. These unique experiences are the perfect platform for developing a strong corporate team.

Nuhop's team work and team building activities are designed to meet the needs of a wide range of groups, from athletic teams and educators to corporate groups and student organizations.

Our team bonding activities will help your group break down social barriers and inhibitions in a way that allows participants to step out of their comfort zones and experience real learning. With ropes courses, indoor communication skills programs, and other activities, our innovative group team building curriculum will help you achieve your desired results.

Each element of our ropes course is carefully designed to encourage participants to test their limits and take risks towards personal and team growth. Participants traverse across rope bridges, hanging swings, and missing link walkways while learning the basic skills and language required to become a stronger team as they face physical challenges forty feet in the air.

We partner with churches, schools, and other organizations to custom-build retreats that offer the opportunity to experience nature and find opportunities for learning and self-improvement.

We now have two amazing camps offering space for corporate retreats, church events, camp rentals, and parties. With in-house catering and meeting facilitation services, as well as access to our ropes course and other fun outdoor activities, youll be sure to have a memorable retreat experience for everyone.
