Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

The Goal of the Waverly Community House is to offer educational, recreational and cultural opportunites to individuals and families in the region, regardless of income and ability.

The Waverly Community House offers public access to community recreational facilities and develops and implements diverse program to appeal to all ages and levels of ability and interest. It also develops volunteer opportunities for students and adults. The following programs

The Waverly Community House is capable of offering a broad spectrum of recreational programming, fine and performing arts programming and educational classes and programming. It is home to a state certified early learning preschool and after school program, childrens interactive sensory center, auditorium/gymnasium, library, community meeting rooms, thrift shop, welcome center, family room, art gallery, state of the art playground, tennis courts and green space.

The Waverly Community House is making progress with developing programs geared toward tots and toddlers, ages 1mo to 4 years, for children with special needs and for the mature population. It continues to upgrade the facility to accommodate all ages, interests and activities.
We have most recently expanded our CommKids After School program with certification to operate The Waverly Preschool, an early learning preschool. These programs are now helping families who are in need of a safe, affordable child care venue during the pandemic so they are able to remain employed.
We have also initiated the Walking Tour of Waverly project which introduces members of the public to the history of the underground railroad in the village of Waverly. This project benefits individuals, small groups and school groups looking to expand their knowledge about the rich history of Waverly in the free slave movement.
