What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Community Living
KenCrest's Community Living program provides community residential services, supported independent living, community medical homes for medically complex individuals, clinical services, lifesharing, and individual and family supports to adults and children who have intellectual or developmental disabilities or delays. Our dedicated staff supports the people we serve in their own homes and communities, as well as in more structured residential environments, where individuals can gain a sense of independence and pride.
Early Intervention
KenCrest's Early Intervention, birth-to-3, and 3-to-5 programs serve infants, toddlers, and preschoolers who have developmental, neurological, orthopedic, behavioral, and or learning challenges. Our multidisciplinary staff provides evaluations and service coordination in the state of Delaware. Specialized services and support in Pennsylvania are available in psychology, speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, hearing, vision, and nutrition. Services, as well as service coordination support, are provided in homes, school settings, and other community sites.
Early Learning
KenCrest's education program serves infants, toddlers, and preschoolers up to age five in the city of Philadelphia. Families are an integral part of our program and we serve those of moderate to low income. KenCrest utilizes an evidence-based, High Scope curriculum designed to provide a strong foundation that ensures children are prepared for kindergarten and beyond. All of our centers are Keystone Star 4 rated, the highest level of quality according to the state of Pennsylvania.
Community Based Services and Supports
KenCrest provides community based services and supports through supportive employment programs focusing on job development, training, and support with certified job coaching, community participation services and supports which include volunteer activities and horticultural program, and transition supports which include project search and internships for youth and adults that have intellectual or developmental disabilities or delays. Project SEARCH is an internationally accredited youth transition program that is based in the community and provides valuable job training and work experience with a person-centered approach.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Under KenCrest Services, all goals fall into the domain of social responsibility, which has been redefined to accommodate and recognize the need for strategic growth.
• Grow in size to be the best-in-class services: lifesharing; supported independent living; employment; distinctive residential models; specialized living options for medically fragile children and adults; supports to individuals with IDD living on their own or with their families; empowering independence with enabling technology (both place-based and mobile).
• Extend our children’s services to ages 5 to 21 years old.
• Achieve the right behavioral health support for the people and families we serve.
• Complete the transformation of center-based services for adults with IDD into meaningful, fully-funded, community support services.
• Sustain and nourish a culture of excellence and innovation throughout all services. This includes the pursuit of accreditation and the work we do to inspire all services to improve the quality of their work on a continuous basis.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Exploring Possibilities: Finding creative solutions to challenges and obstacles that keep us from helping those we support from achieving meaningful lives; practicing “Reaching Higher” and “Discovery” values.
Mobilizing Resources: Pursuing opportunities, tools, people – anything that will help advocate and organize resources towards achieving goals and dreams while collaborating with others to achieve those goals; practicing “Discovery” and “Excellence in Leadership” values.
Empowering Dreams: Making the dreams and goals a reality for those organizations and teammates we support; practicing “Positive Approaches,” “Reaching Higher,” and “Inclusion” values.
