What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Out-Of-School Time and Summer Day Camp
Our after-school programs empower young people ages K-12 by providing them with engaging learning environments where students are encouraged to grow into leaders that transform their community.
Our summer day camp invites elementary, middle, and high school students to spend their time out of school learning and growing in a energetic, memorable environment.
Homeowner Services
We are partnering with the Urban Redevelopment Authority to provide low or no cost home repairs for community residents. The Pittsburgh Project is the program administrator, meaning we interact with the homeowner, URA and contractor to ensure that the project is done correctly, respectively and lovingly.
Service Opportunities
We develop servant leaders from the young people and adults who join us annually from churches, colleges, schools, and community groups from across the country for a day, week, or weekend of volunteer service in our city. We partner with other local service organizations to bless the community.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Our vision is that Pittsburgh will be called a City of Truth, where once again men and women of ripe old age will sit in the streets each with cane in hand because of age, and where the city streets will be filled with boys and girls playing there (adapted from Zechariah 8:4-5).
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Our staff operates a progressive series of youth after-school and summer programs, partners with volunteer groups annually to serve community homeowners, and operates local recreation spaces.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Our Board of Directors, full-time staff, and part-time staff bring the valuable skills and leadership necessary to both welcome the community with open, loving arms, as well as sustain our work with professional standards and practices.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
Our organization remains community-driven and passionate for the populations it serves. Within our work there is a visible passion for the work of each of our programs. In the immediate future, there is a continued pursuit of a larger network and increased investment in the lives of the young people, families, and neighbors that we serve. As an established Pittsburgh staple, it's our duty to redefine and reevaluate whenever possible, in order to remain relevant and active in a changing city landscape.
