SEAPC Raising Kids

Every day, around the world, thousands of children are facing such situations as: child trafficking, abuse, slave labor, parentlessness, abandonment, neglect and poverty. To break the barriers for these children, SEAPC partners with like-minded local ministries who are caring for these children. Current partnerships are with New Hope for Orphans in Cambodia, Charity Children’s Home in Myanmar, Mendies Haven in Nepal, and Touching Hearts Child Care in China. Today, over 700 children receive safe shelter, food, clothing, education, medical care, loving nurture, and the opportunity to develop a personal relationship with Jesus.

After 20 years of prayer and hope, the Beijing Autism Association and the Handicapped Association of China approached us to partner in the establishment of national training and protocols for children with autism, their teachers and families. This is our newest medical outreach project, started in October 2014. The ten-year agreement begins with the establishment of the Beijing Center in the first three years. The next 7 years, will be multiplying these centers into every province of China with help and hope for the families of children with autism.

The Garden of Hope is a project initiated by the South East Asia Prayer Center in Vientiane, Laos. It serves to eradicate poverty by bringing hope to the farmers of Laos and prosperity to the communities. The Garden of Hope is a training center where students come for two years. During this time, they are taught farming skills, English, bible, worship, and other skills they can use as pastors back in their local villages. While training, they earn a monthly stipend and are encouraged to save as much of it as they can. At the end of their time, SEAPC matches what they have saved. This allows them to purchase land and start their own farms, instantly providing them with a status of respect in their village. The goal is to equip the students with skills to have a sustainable lifestyle.

Pray Americas is an opportunity to humble ourselves and pray and seek His face. Every year, SEAPC devotes itself in prayer for 40 days in June and July specifically for Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

Population(s) Served
Adults

Children all over the world have needs. It has been said that the average American has 24 cents in spare change every day. That might not seem like much, but it can make a huge difference in the lives of children around the world when it is gathered together and combined with the love of Jesus. In response to this potential, South East Asia Prayer Center (SEAPC) has established SEAPC Coins for Kids CFK_logoas a way of providing funding for needs around the world. Two fund drives are held each year, during the 6 weeks leading up to Easter and Thanksgiving, but funds are collected all year long. These funds are disbursed to other ministries providing care for children as well as SEAPC partner ministries.
