What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

The library is the hub of the community of St. Marys. It is one of the few places that is open to everyone. The library strives to offer materials and services pertinent to the needs our residents. The library offers a wide variety of educational and recreational reading and audiovisual materials in a variety of formats. The library also provides internet enabled computers and free wi-fi for public use. The library is used as a meeting space by both individuals and organizations. The library serves as a reference point for individuals finding information in general and about the town and services provided to community members. The library provides informational and recreational programs for people of all ages. While literacy and access to books is the heart and sole of the library, it is one part of a what the library does.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

The library aims to be seen as the go to place for all members of the community. We strive to offer the materials wanted in the formats needed. The library continues to work on building relationships with other organizations and businesses in the community. The library wants to continue to keep abreast of new technology and to be able to provide access to high speed internet.

The library continues to provide outreach when possible. The library advertises and promotes resources in the local newspaper, on the local radio stations, in house through flyers and posters, and on the internet through our webpage and social media platforms. The library connects with organizations to provide programs and offers resources for borrowing. The library evaluates our strategic plan on a regular basis and attends to goals not met.
