GIVE TO COLOMBIA’S unwavering COMMITMENT is with the sustainable development of COLOMBIA. Our aim is the shrinking of the INEQUALITIY gap that thwarts the opportunities of those LIVING IN POVERITY. We are a US NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION that promotes strategic social investment and supports high-impact projects in the areas of EDUCATION, HEALTH & NUTRITION, ECONOMIC DEVELOPEMENT, ENVIROMENT, and HUMANITARIAN AID in Colombia. G2C's FOCUS is the creation and implementation of HIGH-IMPACT projects that produce long-term SUSTAINABLE development which ultimately leads to a more EQUITABLE SOCIETY. We MOBILIZIES RESOURCES, talents and technologies to BENEFIT Colombia’s MOST VUNERABLE POPULATIONS; including displaced peoples, single mothers, victims of violence and demobilized combatants. At G2C we do not believe in charity or traditional aid; through strategic social investment WE HAVE SET THE BASE for sustainable, LONG-TERM, development in some of Colombia’s MOST NEGLECTED REGIONS.
Alliance for Responsible Mining
Creating inclusive market incentives for responsible artisanal and small-scale gold miners (ASM) and fostering partnerships with ethical jewelry markets for gold from community miners.
Financial Literacy & Entrepreneurship Program (Phase V)
In partnership with Corporación Interactuar, the project seeks to expand a financial literacy training, matched savings and micro-enterprise development program for workers in the apparel industry in Medellin, Colombia.
Scholarship Fund for Colombian Disabled Soldiers
In partnership with Corporación Matamoros, the project seeks to allow access to basic, secondary, and higher-level education for 65 active and retired disabled soldiers throughout Colombia.
SCRATCH Teacher Training Program (Phase IV)
In parternership with Fundación Gabriel Peidrahita Uribe (FGPU), the project seeks the expansion of STEM Education to new regions and cities of Colombia by consolidating the achievements of the previous phases and building capacities in at least 160 teachers working primarily in educational institutions affiliated with the Colombian Armed Forces in Bogotá and Medellín. The teachers received training mainly in the areas of Computing, Mathematics, and Natural Sciences for Elementary School Education.
Building Bridges of Communication for People with Disabilities
In partnership with Fundación Hablando con Julis, Give To Colombia will support the development of new pedagogic and communication strategies for the implementation of the software, Hablando con Julis, which provides communication and educational tools to students with oral and hearing impairments, as well as those with autism, down syndrome and cerebral palsy. Working with three educational institutions with people with disabilities, FHCJ will create a educational booklet describing in detail how the software should be implemented. It will be published and available for the general public. Therefore, both communication and learning processes would benefit in effectiveness and efficiency.
