What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
PAST PROGRAM PROJECTS
The family has supported many domestic and international projects in the past, including, but not limited to:
• Breakfast for parents of sick and disabled children for Ronald McDonald House, Fort Worth, Texas.
• Monetary scholarships for male inmates of the Prison University Project at San Quentin, California.
• Sponsored educational books and programs for inmates and ex-inmates.
• PARfessionals past projects (training for behavioral healthcare workforce worldwide) from 2011-2015.
• Selected PARfessionals curriculum materials posted in this digital library offenders collection is funded in part by a 2014 generous donation from Impact investor Bunyan Jacobs, Jr., former Vice President of Lighthouse Life Insurance, Shreveport, Louisiana. Lighthouse Life Insurance was Black Enterprise Top Leading Black Business in America for 22 years. All intellectual property rights reserved. (Note; SJM FAMILY FOUNDATION does not hold any copyrights to past former material that it funded.)
• Harmony Church colored mission of the Texas Methodist Episcopal ME Church (now United Methodist Church) and later joined the Colored Methodist Episcopal CME Church before becoming independent in 2010. It was then incorporated as part of the private closed family corporation from August 2017 to February 2018. However, the corporation broke into separate entitles and the church was closed after review approved with the legal team on-staff with the Texas Secretary of State. The church is closed, and an application has been submitted to Panola County Historical Commission and Texas Historical Commission for a historical marker to be placed on-site where the old church stood before being demolished in August 2017.

• Privately funded a NIH Grants course (2008) which was recognized by Tuft University Health Science Library and Boston University (BU) Alumni Medical Library in 2010.
• Approved CE Provider for Texas Certification Board of Addiction Professionals and The Certified Fundraising Executives (CFRE) International and their global CFRE credential are endorsed by twenty professional associations in six nations, including New Zealand, Australia, etc. Participating Organizations, including The Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP), an international professional organization dedicated exclusively to developing the men and women who encourage charity in North America's health care systems. Established in 1967, AHP is the source for education, networking, information, and research opportunities in health care philanthropy. The Nonprofit Management University Series
The Nonprofit Management Academy was founded by SJM Family Foundation's former executive director, Jorea McNamee.
In 2007-2008, SJM Family Foundation of Texas sponsored three prisoner rehabilitation textbooks under the leadership of then President George Herbert Bush (Bush Jr.). They are: Nonprofit Management Basics, Grantsmanship Basics and Finding and Applying National Institute of Health (NIH Grants). These reference books are now available for $2.00-$6.00 USD on Amazon.

SJM Family Foundation sponsored a website for families of incarcerated people. In 2018, the website was discontinued. The majority of resources from the website was transferred as a (free download) to www.SMASHwords.com.
Free Little Library Network Member/Partner #M69352
Harmony Centennial 'UnSung Heroes' Mobile Library Garden & Pocket Park is located on a small parcel of land that pays homage to the President Obama's American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 & First Lady Michelle Obama Let's Move Children Health and Nutrition initiative.
In 2016, two PARfessionals' college prep guides were distributed across the world to honor this community. In 2018, the churches' oil royalties were sold to pay for on-going upkeep.
International Alliance of Grantwriters and Nonprofit Consultants (formerly National Assn of GWANC)
At 17, Jorea McNamee Kelley, former SJM Family Foundation executive director, founded the first INTERnational association for grantwriters, grant managers, and nonprofit personnel.
It is featured in The Nonprofit Manager's Resource Directory published by Wiley Publishing (2002).
Note: At the age of 20, Jorea Mcnamee mismanaged a $10,000 grant from the Steve Case Foundation, the billionnaire owner of America Online and the membership association closed its doors.
Former training courses (1997-2000) that were written while then President Bill Clinton was in office will be uploaded periodically to Scribd.com for public viewing.
