Mission

Our purpose is to conduct research on, and increase awareness of, the degradation of representative democracy in the US resulting from Congress’ longstanding practice of constraining the number of Representatives despite the tremendous growth in the nation’s population. Increasing representation in the House, along with smaller congressional districts, would produce numerous benefits. This would also ensure that the congressional districts are equally sized nationwide, thereby finally achieving one-person-one-vote citizen equality for all Americans. Also, community-sized congressional districts would improve the quality of our representation in the House, and then virtually any citizen could afford to run for office without needing corrupting financial support from the Special Interests.
