Mission

American Outreach Foundation (AOF) serves the unmet needs of those dealing with any kind of impairment or situational challenge. The organization focuses on specific goals to help people regardless of their age, ethnicity, gender, immigration status, or financial situation. These programs work in different ways to increase the ability of those experiencing difficulties to act independently. We strive to enhance living conditions and champion freedom of mobility to erase the feeling of invisibility felt by many, and empower a sense of well-being and hope for a brighter tomorrow. Through AOF's various programs, we partner with veterans, single mothers, low-income families and seniors to facilitate a pathway to enhance their quality of life, thus opening the door to new possibilities.

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

It Starts at Home, Donate/Need a PowerChair, Learning Disability Assistance

We partner with veterans, single mothers, low-income families and seniors to facilitate a pathway to enhance their quality of life, thus opening the door to new possibilities.

Here is a small sampling of our wide-range of programs available:

• It Starts At Home: We work with low-income families and veterans to create a home environment where all members can grow and thrive. Through this initiative, home assessments are conducted, needs are determined, and items are offered at no cost (i.e. furnishings, appliances, bedding, etc.).

• Donate/Need A Power-Chair: Electric wheelchairs are provided to veterans, low-income seniors and the uninsured afflicted by mobility issues.

• Learning Disability Assistance: A special adjustable slant board tool, Slanto™, is supplied to students with learning and developmental disabilities. Slanto™ has proven helpful in focusing the child’s attention on everyday learning situations in which they previously lacked interest.

American Outreach Foundation attends to the unmet needs of those who may have once felt ignored, but are now empowered to move forward towards a brighter tomorrow!
