Capturing the Creation week with cutting-edge RealD 3D cinematography and biblical accuracy, GENESIS: Paradise Lost brings the first chapter of Genesis to life! Using stunning visual effects, epic orchestration, and the latest scientific and historical research, this film explores the context of this highly studied and hotly-debated book of the Bible. Vivid CG animation and interviews with experts and PhD’s ignite this epic production to deliver an incredible, thought-provoking investigation of our origins. In the beginning…God!

At Creation Today we are always looking for innovative ways to share the Gospel with those who don’t know Jesus Christ, creatively using the Science around us to point to the Scriptures and the Salvation message. Here’s our latest CRAZY IDEA that we believe you will TOTALLY LOVE!

Six years ago our president, Eric Hovind, began leading tours of the Grand Canyon with his good friend, Russ Miller. On his very first trip, he was amazed by the clear evidence that a judgement on this world had taken place. All Eric wanted to do was tell the people around him that these rocks were crying out! They were screaming for all to see that judgement had taken place.

Every trip he took, year after year, he would see lives changed as people realized the “flood” of evidence surrounding the formation of the canyon and the global catastrophe it implied. From there, walking people through the knowledge sin in their own life and the need for the Savior was simple. Eric just kept thinking, what if we could take everyone on this journey from Science to Scripture to Savior? What if these rocks could tell their story to the world? Eventually the desire grew into a vision. Allow us to share it with you.

This year 6.5 million people will visit the Grand Canyon. The vast majority of them will drive for hours, pay an entrance fee, find a parking spot, then walk over to one of the most majestic scenes on earth as they peer over the canyon edge. The breathtaking view will fill their mind with wonder and give them a feeling of insignificance like few places on earth can do. After a few hours and perhaps a hike, they will get back into their vehicle and continue their journey through the desert.

So what would it look like to seize that moment of wonder in a person’s life? What if Christians took advantage of one of the biggest mission outreach opportunities the world has ever seen? Well, on this year’s Grand Canyon Tour, Eric brought our film crew to begin turning this dream into a reality. We spent 5 days filming for our new project, GrandCanyonMovie.com.

Call us crazy, but our vision is to produce an intriguing documentary, less than 30 minutes long, that will strategically take people from the Canyon’s science to the Flood’s judgement and the need of Salvation found in Scripture. Think about all the ways this could be used to reach the 6.5 million people who go to the Canyon every year! Here are just a few of our ideas:

- Billboards inviting tourists to experience the wonders of the canyon at GrandCanyonMovie.com
- Weekend missionaries who strike up conversations and share a card about GrandCanyonMovie.com
- Tourists who share the “Flood” of evidence with others during their visit to the canyon
- Full-time missionaries funded to engage tourists at the canyon
- Social media warriors who share GrandCanyonMovie with friends online

The simple invitation will direct the reader to a website where they can watch the movie absolutely FREE! Using scientific facts, the movie will take them on a non-confrontational journey which ultimately leads them to the Scriptures and the Salvation message!

As usual, we dream bigger than we can execute, but God has a way of giving us a vision that we can’t do all by ourselves, otherwise we would try to take the credit! A goal this big needs lots of prayer and financial support. We pray you share our passion to see others come to Christ and that is why we are sharing this vision with you. We would consider it an honor to partner with you on this God-Sized project.
