ADDIS FAITH FOUNDATION INC
Childhood Cancer Research and Relief
Programs and results
What we aim to solve
When a child is diagnosed with cancer, the entire family is affected. Providing the necessary care is a 24 hour a day commitment and often requires a parent to quit their job. This loss of income comes at a time when bills are increased...co-pays, medicines, travel, parking, etc. and this produces an immediate financial crisis for many families. Having your child diagnosed with cancer is emotionally devastating and adding financial worries to the turmoil is often unbearable. Empathizing with their pain, Addi’s Faith helps these families during their time of need.
Our programs

Family Financial Assistance
Addi's Faith Foundation provides emotional and financial support to families who have a child with cancer. We understand the added financial costs of caring for a sick child and we want to help. Applications are submitted from our website or a hospital social worker. The AFF review board meets on a monthly basis to approve applications and delegate funding.

Goals & Strategy

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Our ultimate goal is to cure childhood cancer. But until that day comes, we want to financially and emotionally assist families who are caring for a child with cancer. We work to fund childhood cancer research to ensure that effective and non-toxic treatments are found. The more money we raise the more families we can help and the faster we will find that cure!
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Through fundraising and awareness events such as our Walk by Faith 5K race/walk and Addishack Charity Golf Tournament, we raise the funds necessary to fulfill our mission of finding safer and more effective cancer treatments for kids.
Additionally we continue to build our Sunshine Circle which is our monthly giving program. With a reliable and steady revenue stream we are able to assist families as their needs arise.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
We are partnered with MD Anderson, one of the leading cancer research hospitals in the world. By funding their groundbreaking research, we help bring safer and more effective treatment options for kids with cancer.
Families come to Addi's Faith Foundation seeking help. Through our application process, we are able to provide some financial assistance so that these families can worry less about their additional bills focusing more attention on helping their child become a survivor.
We have a dedicated staff and amazing group of volunteers who work diligently to raise the funding necessary to fulfill our mission.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
We have helped fund a new clinical trial for pediatric brain tumors. With a commitment of $3.5 million dollars to MD Anderson Cancer Center, we are helping to find safer and more effective treatments for kids with cancer.
By taking care of some basic financial needs, we allow parents to be right where they should be...at their child's side. Addi's Faith Foundation has been able to provide assistance over 500 families giving out over $500,000 to help these kids get the care they deserve. We would love to help even more!
