Mission
The T Gurlz Foundation (TGF) empowers girls and young women to live their dreams, discover new possibilites within themselves and take on life's challenges with fierce determination and drive.
TGF is about building self-esteem and confidence, launching leaders, showing the world that girls can do and be anything they set their minds to.
The goal of the T Gurlz Foundation (TGF) is to utilize innovative programs to empower young women to overcome subtle, societal messages that inhibit their potential and demean their value by equipping them with the life skills necessary to lead successful, independent, and self-fulfilling lives.

Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Counseling Services
~Peer Counseling - We found that until people were able to "tell their stories," they could not empower themselves to take the next step in self-improvement or community work. However, it became clear that they needed to help each other, rather than to rely solely on professional support. We set up peer support groups and workshops to teach people to listen to each other. ~Professional Counseling - With the application of mental health, psychological, or human development principles, through cognitive, affective, behavioral or systematic intervention strategies, that address wellness, personal growth, or career development, as well as pathology to help the girls make strong and wise life choices.
Relationship/Sexual Education
Sex education aims to reduce the risks of potentially negative outcomes from sexual behavior, such as unwanted or unplanned pregnancies and infection with sexually transmitted diseases including HIV. It also aims to contribute to young people’s positive experience of their sexuality by enhancing the quality of their relationships and their ability to make informed decisions over their lifetime. Sex education that works, by which we mean that it’s effective is sex education that contributes to both these aims thus helping young people to be safe and enjoy their sexuality.

THE ORGANIZATION'S PRIMARY PURPOSE IS TO PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIP FUNDING FOR SECONDARY/POST-SECONDARY EDUCATION FOR MEMBERS OF THE ANNAPOLIS BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS. THIS FUNDING IS PROVIDED BY DONATIONS, WHICH ARE SOLICITED FROM LOCAL BUSINESSES AND INDIVIDUALS, AND FROM OTHER SEC. 501(C) 3 ORGANIZATIONS.
WE ARE ALSO PROVIDING INNOVATIVE AND ENRICHING AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES THAT PROMOTE AND ENCOURAGE POSITIVE DEVELOPMENT AND ESTEEM BUILDING.
