What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

The majority of business owners in developing countries are classified as "necessity entrepreneurs", meaning, they have businesses because they have to somehow make a living, and often live day to day on the meager profits that they make. Interweave Solutions has developed programs to help these necessity entrepreneurs take control of their lives and learn how to become self-sufficient not only in their business but in their homes and communities as well.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

Our goal is to not only eradicate poverty but to eradicate dependency as well. Other nonprofits have good intentions but often leave the people they have "helped" in a worse economic state than they started. Our goal is to help millions of people achieve self-reliance and get themselves out of poverty and into prosperity.

We complete this goal through education. We have two branches of programs that we implement throughout the world in order to eradicate poverty and dependency.

The first of these programs is Business Literacy. We have several levels of literacy that we teach within our program, focused and centered around business vocabulary so that our clients not only learn how to read and write, but they are learning words and business practices that are useful to them in their day to day lives.

Our second branch of programs is Self-Reliance Business Education training. We call this program Master of Business in the Streets. We teach people basic business principles so that they can start or improve their own business. So far this program has been successful in over 40 countries and we have over 4000 graduates! We continue to grow each year. Successful graduates from our MBS program have the chance to further their training and become ambassadors for our organization, facilitating, in turn, the course to their communities and spreading the principles of self-reliance around the world.

We have over 200 Ambassadors around the world teaching our curriculum and a growth model that allows for graduates of the MBS program to become Ambassadors themselves after another training course. This allows our program to spread at little or no cost to us. We are also using Facebook Marketing to reach countries to which we have never gone before. We have successfully opened up four new countries this past year using that strategy.

We continue to grow as an organization, with directors in each of the four languages that we focus on (English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese). We make partnerships with other NGOs to help them further their missions with our curriculum. We offer our courses online as well as face to face.

As of July 2020, we have 4208 MBS graduates and 200 Success Ambassadors. We are in more than 42 countries.
Lynn (who heads our literacy projects) has more than 10 active partnerships with other NGOs around the world.

Our five-year goal is to reach 10,000 MBS graduates and 500 Success Ambassadors. We are on track to meet this goal!
Eventually, we want millions of graduates and thousands of partnerships. There is no limit to the good our people can do!
