Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

We are committed to helping families overcome poverty while strengthening the community around them.

By giving families the opportunity to earn a house, we ensure they are the change agents in their own lives and communities. They earn hours by serving their communities through initiatives chosen by community members themselves. Once they receive a new house, they are protected from extreme weather, violent crime, and preventable disease. And because they own their home, debt free, they have an appreciating asset that can set them on the path to greater stability and economic opportunity.

We have a staff of committed professionals in Mexico and work with locally-based partner organizations in El Salvador and Nicaragua who execute field operations, including overseeing the construction of houses that have been designed for cost-effectiveness, durability, and suitability to cultural and climatic needs. Community members are active participants in their own development, ensuring the sustainability of this work.

Since 2008, we have built over 960 houses and families have served over 200,000 hours strengthening their communities. As we move forward, we anticipate building more houses each year while also measuring the impact of community development brought about through those hours of community service.
