BAPTIST CENTER FOR GLOBAL CONCERNS
Christ's peace for every human life.

What we aim to solve
The Baptist Center for Global Concerns, a faith-based nonprofit, seeks to spread the peace of Christ to every human life. Peace is more than the cessation of war. Peace and peacemaking are holistic and require engagement with people at the point of their needs. Leadership has often fallen well short of spreading peace, and we believe that it contributes to shallow responses to deep human needs. We believe this leadership failure calls for a different type of moral leadership--head, heart, and hands. We strive to enhance ethical leadership in three ways--engage the world's moral concerns through research, educate people about ways to respond to moral concerns (e.g. hunger), then equip people to address these issues.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Mary's Table®
Mary's Table® is an initiative that provides food insecure women and their children with instruction and training in healthy cooking and lifestyles. We provide hands-on training in meal preparation. We also provide a week's supply of groceries, an apron, and a recipe book. Our organization follows up with the women on a regular basis to ensure their well-being.
Mary's Table for Children
This community service program provides underserved children with instruction in healthy eating and good dental hygiene. The children learn hands-on how to make healthy meals and snacks. They also learn and practice good dental hygiene with the help of a dental hygienist.
CenterPlace
CenterPlace provides theological training for underserved graduate and postgraduate Christian ministry administrators, faculty, and students who are unable to afford or gain access to training.
Global Partnerships
The Baptist Center for Global Concerns partners with the All Africa Baptist Fellowship to create, implement, and sustain masters- and doctoral-level degree theological training in French-speaking Africa. This new initiative will enable ministry equipping in areas that have typically been overlooked.

What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Ethical leadership is visionary, respects the dignity of all human life, and is fair and equitable. Therefore, the Center aims to meet the needs of people who are overlooked and underserved through physical, educational, and spiritual guidance. We offer physical help like food, educational assistance through certificate, graduate, and postgraduate instruction, and guidance through our partnerships.
Our organization aims to provide sustainable peace initiatives like the Mary's Table ministry that provides healthy food and cooking instruction to food insecure women and their children. Our volunteers serve alongside of the Center's leadership. This enables us to provide a first-hand example of the leadership model that we use at the Center. We also have a larger peace initiative where the focus is on agricultural training, theological education, and job-training skills for women in Nigeria.
The Center also provides continuing education in various leadership areas through our online training platform, CenterPlace. We provide scholarship assistance for global leaders who otherwise would not be able to receive training for the roles that they fulfill. This learning platform focuses on the Center's overall aims of enhancing human dignity and spread Christ's peace in useful ways.
