What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

In Our Telugu speaking community in U.S, we have lot of families need support in career guidance, health, and education especially kids in high-school going to college. Lot of families migrated from distant places come with absolutely no knowledge of U.S education system that is quite challenging and competitive. This puts us at risk for parents running against an unknown while keeping on top of the unknown. The end result is that kids miss tons of golden opportunities at schools and colleges. Similarly adults due to lack of network or awareness do not open up about their health issues or career.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

American Progressive Telugu Association (APTA) aim is to provide awareness to all it's members in education (Pre-K through college), chronic or genetic health issues, and avenues for career advancement.

American Progressive Telugu Association (APTA) provides help for members bringing awareness through their flagship programs tailored to bring awareness in education, health, women empowerment and career. These strategic programs have committees that are formed under board supervision with huge volunteer force. The volunteers proactively reach out to members in offering help in above specified.

American Progressive Telugu Association (APTA) has more than 4,850 members coming from diverse professional backgrounds. These members have areas of subject matter expertise. We have more than 1800+ IT professionals, 175 physicians, 275 college graduates, 100 Entrepreneurs and 150 seasonal professionals in our volunteer force. These members align with programs and proactively help all members in all areas that needed help with.

Our accomplishments over a period of 12 years are seen in the increase of our membership strength from founding fathers to 4800. Every month we get requests from members on asking for more help especially in High-school to college transition counseling, request for more health awareness sessions from 14 in an year to 20 this year, request for at least 45 career guidance sessions this year when compared to 38 last years. As the name itself, we are a progressive organization with tons of support from seasonal professionals as volunteers.
