Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

1) To collaborate with other rescues in solving the stray overpopulation
2) To rescue approximately 300 dogs, cats, kittens and puppies and find them forever homes.
3) To educate the public in the importance of spay and neuter.

Volunteers are the basis of our rescue. We recruit volunteers from various outreach programs, off-site events, facebook, etc. Once recruited we train our volunteers/ provide support and encouragement. From our volunteer base, we have different interests, ie. some want to foster, some want to walk dogs, care for cats, etc. We place accordingly.
We collaborate with other rescues to share resources (food), assistance with animal intake, etc.

We have a budget of $300,000 per year. Unllke most rescues, we do have a facility that enables us to provide training, allows us to have potential adopters meet our animals, and quarantine those animals recently rescued and in need of destressing or medical care. We have a full time vet tech that cares for the animals during the work week and volunteers that attend to animals on the weekends and holidays

Ultimately we would like to have a larger facility. We would also see a transport component to the shelter. Transporting our animals to
similar rescues in other parts of the country, especially the Northeast.
