What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

There are many contributing factors to the current state of dis-ease in our world, including sugar, corporate experiments, chemical food industry, pest controls, poison water, animal cruelty, over use of antibiotics, the pharmaceutical industry taking over the medical schools, waste, sound, air and plastic pollution, little to no emotional health education, overpopulation, economic disparity, dead soil, and species extinction. Permaculture, Organics, and Farm to Table Farming are ways we are addressing the problem. We are teaching people how to take care of themselves and their loved ones in the most sustainable Green way possible. We're doing everything we can to protect the tremendous biodiversity of this particular region, while participating in the global movement.

Eden Wellness Institute

Welcome to Eden Wellness Institute (EWI)
EWI is a residential educational retreat program where our guests and students can learn life sciences to help cultivate thriving health. We teach our students an integrative approach to preventative medicine and longevity living techniques in a relaxed tropical environment. We are a branch of our parent non profit organization Advanced Productions of Thomas Creek Retreat. We believe that everyone should have access to life advancing experiences. Through our non profit we are able to accept donations to cover tuition, continued development our bio-dynamic experiential farm, and expand our local environmental clean up projects.

Goals & Strategy

Learn about the organization's key goals, strategies, capabilities, and progress.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

Our goal is to expand our current operations to continue our educational programs and positive environmental impact projects.

We plan to reach our goals through workshops, learning health retreats, webinars, online coaching, environmental clean up activities, and experiential biodynamic farming on our finca.

We have a volunteer exchange program between Eden and the small farming community where our farm (finca) is located.

We acquired the land to build a community with both non-profit and for profit components.

We will continue to honor ourselves and our world through music, dance, personal health practices, environmental clean up projects and love.

Our team is fully capable of meeting these goals, being highly educated professionals with much experience in Natural Health Education and Biodynamic farming.

We've accomplished 4 years in our current location with investors, volunteers, students and retreat guests learning together. Eden's life transforming program of nutrition education, colon hydrotherapy, bowel reprograming, detox, longevity fitness, sacred plant medicine, and mental health provide a well rounded approach to health & wellness.

Data
  • We employ non-traditional ways of gathering feedback on programs and trainings, which may include interviews, roundtables, and external reviews with/by community stakeholders.
  • We have long-term strategic plans and measurable goals for creating a culture such that one’s race identity has no influence on how they fare within the organization.
Policies and processes
  • We seek individuals from various race backgrounds for board and executive director/CEO positions within our organization.
  • We have community representation at the board level, either on the board itself or through a community advisory board.
  • We engage everyone, from the board to staff levels of the organization, in race equity work and ensure that individuals understand their roles in creating culture such that one’s race identity has no influence on how they fare within the organization.
