CleanAirNow is dedicated to improving air quality in Kansas City and the surrounding region, particularly in communities suffering the greatest health burden, and to preventing and mitigating disease caused by air pollution. We are a community-based and community-driven equitable partnership of community groups, educational, research, environmental, health, other organizations, and individual members.

PEER is an action group engaged in sustainability education in the Missouri and Kansas Rivers Bioregion.
The Mission of PEER is to engage in science based permaculture education, extension outreach, community development and agroecological research for the public good. PEER is a Kansas not-for-profit that engages in ecologically sustainable activities such as:
1. Teaching agroecological design practices, Permaculture Design Certification (PDC) courses and other workshops and classes.
2. Developing and distributing resource materials that foster ecological and economical urban food production.
3. Engage in research to develop Best Management Practices (BMP) for activities such as using urban food forests as multifunctional green infrastructure, urban soil detoxification, mycoremedation and revitalization, neighborhood foodshed development, permaculture design, edible landscaping, edible and medicinal plant propagation, neighborhood scale composting and biomass harvesting, and related activities.
4. Engaging in community development projects in partnership with other not-for-profit, governmental and neighborhood organizations.
5. Develop a network of Permaculture Extension Agents, PEA’s at the neighborhood level to consult, teach and facilitate a transition to ecologically sustainable neighborhoods and communities.
