Mission

Law Enforcement that came from all 50 states and commonwealths to aid in the rescue and recovery at the World Trade Center. On September 11th, 2001, at a time when our city needed them the most, these professionals gave their all to keep us safe, maintain order, search for survivors, and keep our city functioning in the face of an almost unimaginable horror. Now, many ofthem are bravely facing yet another crisis. Possibly thousands of individuals who were exposed to the toxic environmentresulting from the collapse of the towers are now experiencing a wide range of illnesses. We are former NYPD Officers and9/11 first responders. We too have suffered serious health problems as a result of our World Trade Center efforts. Our goal is toprovide support through education and other forms of charitable relief to all Law Enforcement and their families. Charitabledonations go to the following but are not limited to: Providing education of Police Officers and their families, educating thepublic through media campaigns, lecturing organizations, schools and colleges, financial relief in extreme situations, assist inapplications for disability, counsel in psychological, medical, and financial issues. We also lobby local, state and the federalgovernment to enact laws and assist in acquiring disability benefits to our members and non members. Most Importantly we make sure those that have died from 9/11 Illness are memorialized and remembered as much as the first responders that died in the attacks on 9/11/01. They all deserve to not be forgotten.

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Medical Monitoring

We have signed up several hundred officers nationwide saving lives by being monitored by national and local programs.

Population(s) Served

With nearly 50 clients, we need to raise at least $100,000 yearly for this program. We want to offer our clients up to $2000 dollars yearly in extreme financial difficulty if they need it.

Population(s) Served

The 9/11 Police Aid Foundation intends to see that all Law Enforcement first responders that served at Ground Zero or the Freshkills Landfill in NY who have suffered from 9/11 related illness and have died, are memorialized and remembered as well as those that died in the attacks that day. To do this we endeavor to place monument stones in major cities throughout the USA, using Billboards, and printing posters and tee shirts with their names on them.
