Five powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

What is the organization aiming to accomplish?

It is the mission Accessible Dental Services to provide comprehensive dental care of the highest quality to people with intellectual disabilities and behavioral health needs in order to meet their dental and health care needs, and to enhance their daily life experiences and self-esteem.

Accessible Dental Services will enhance community based resources so that every consumer and family has access to dental services in their local communities, and that those services are performed by skilled professionals who provide care with compassion, dignity, and respect for people with intellectual disabilities and behavioral health needs.

Why Choose Accessible Dental?

Are you waiting months to get in to your current dental provider?
Accessible Dental offers short wait times to be seen. No need to wait months to be seen by the dentist. In most cases, individuals can be seen within 30 days of the initial call---sometimes shorter. Because we offer regular clinics, getting in to see your dentist is easier than ever before. Yes, we DO offer emergency care, as well. (Need to schedule an appointment NOW?)

Is your organization or your individuals paying too much for dental care?
Many dental offices do not accept Medicaid-funded dental plans. As a result, your organization or the individual you serve foot the bill! Not with Accessible Dental. Because Accessible Dental accepts all Medicaid-funded dental insurance plans, the highest quality care does not mean higher cost. In fact, in most cases, you will see your cost go down!

Are you traveling more than 2 hours to be seen?
We know that finding a quality dentist with the experience to serve special needs individuals is a challenge. Our patients tell us that before Accessible Dental individuals were traveling hours for dental care. With convenient locations, you are eliminating the stress of a long drive, saving valuable staff time and gas money!

Have you had a bad experience at your dentist office?
Let's face it! Not every dentist has the skills and experience to work with special needs individuals. Our team makes sure your visit to the dentist is a good one!

Our Approach ?

We are aware that many consumers may not be able to sit in a typical dental chair, or may be hypersensitive about the simplest dental procedures, including a basic exam. In some cases, a routine cleaning and exam may require anesthesia. We understand.

As a result, our team accommodates extended appointments, provides seating contingent on the person's needs and ensures additional support staff that are able to identify with the potential fear, anxiety and discomfort of the appointment.

Accessible Dental Services (ADS) is a unique, non-profit organization that provides quality dental care for individuals with intellectual disabilities and behavioral health needs. We use a combination of facilities-based services, along with a mobile unit, to create a superior dental experience for our patients.

In 2006, under the leadership and direction of Rick D. Senft, ADS became a member of the Passavant Memorial Homes Family of Services. Passavant Memorial Homes has become one of the nation’s foremost, consumer-driven, providers of support to individuals with intellectual disabilities and behavioral health needs.

Passavant Memorial Homes has experienced tremendous growth through the development of its related corporations, Accessible Dental Services, Life Enrichment Trust, InvivaSpan Health, PDC Pharmacy, and Passavant Memorial Homes Foundation, and are together known as the Passavant Memorial Homes Family of Services.

Just as a family cares for one another, these companies offer a wide range of supports to address the special needs and unique desires of individuals with disabilities. These specialized services address the needs of the individuals we support and are available to the entire intellectual disabilities, and behavioral health communities.
