Project SYNCERE employs several key strategies to achieve its goals of increasing diversity in STEM, bridging the opportunity gap, fostering interest and engagement, providing pathways and support, and shaping future STEM leaders. Here are some of the strategies implemented by Project SYNCERE:

1. Comprehensive STEM Education: Project SYNCERE utilizes a comprehensive approach to STEM education. The organization designs and implements project-based learning (PBL) curricula that engage students in hands-on, inquiry-based activities. By connecting real-world problems to STEM concepts, students develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

2. Pathway Programs: Project SYNCERE creates pathways for students to access opportunities in STEM. The organization collaborates with schools, colleges, and universities to provide students with pathway programs, such as collegiate level engineering programs during the summer. These programs expose students to advanced STEM coursework, research experiences, and mentoring, enhancing their readiness for higher education and future STEM careers.

3. Career Exposure and Mentoring: Project SYNCERE emphasizes career exposure and mentoring to broaden students' understanding of STEM fields and potential career paths. The organization facilitates interactions between students and STEM professionals, organizes industry visits, and hosts career fairs to provide students firsthand exposure to diverse STEM careers. Mentoring programs also offer students guidance, support, and role models as they navigate their STEM journeys.

4. Partnerships with Schools and Community: Project SYNCERE forms partnerships with schools, primarily located in historically excluded communities, to implement its STEM programming. By collaborating with educators, administrators, and community organizations, Project SYNCERE ensures the integration of STEM education into school curricula and expands its reach to underserved student populations.

5. STEM Educators and Professionals: Project SYNCERE engages STEM educators and professionals to inspire, mentor, and support students. By leveraging the expertise and experiences of STEM professionals, the organization provides students with insights into real-world applications of STEM and the potential impact they can make in these fields.
