Mission

Since 2008, the Seton Hays Foundation has served as the fundraising organization for Seton Medical Center Hays in Kyle, Seton Edgar B. Davis in Luling, Seton Smithville in Smithville, and Seton Southwest Hospital in Austin--all members of the Ascension family. We commit ourselves to serving all persons with special attention to those who are poor and vulnerable.

McCoy Wellness & Rehabilitation Center

Located at Ascension Seton Hays (ASH) regional hospital in Kyle, Texas, the new McCoy Wellness & Rehabilitation Center offers cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, as well as physical, occupational, and speech therapies.

In Kyle, Texas, Ascension Seton Hays (ASH) Hospital and ER is a critical care hospital with advanced specialty care services. It is a regional hospital with 24/7 emergency care, certified as both a Level II trauma Center and a primary stroke center. ASH has also been awarded the Silver Plus Level Performance Award from the American Heart Association -- Get with the Guidelines Program -- for providing advanced stroke care. The campus is a destination for specialty care including heart and vascular health, and musculoskeletal, plastic and neurological surgical care, among others. ASH recently launched a bariatrics and digestive health program. In March 2021 Newsweek named Ascension Seton Hays as one of the top 217 Best Maternity hospitals in 2021 using the Leapfrog Maternity standards.

Ascension Seton Edgar B. Davis provides a wide range of medical care, including 24-hour ER care, in Central Texas. Located in Luling, 50 miles southeast of Austin, Ascension Seton Edgar B. Davis provides inpatient and outpatient services, including general surgery, for residents of Caldwell County and surrounding counties in Central Texas. When a medical emergency happens, our care team is ready with 24-hour emergency care services. Our ER doctors and care teams are experienced in providing trauma, cardiac care, adult and pediatric emergency care. Emergency air transport is available when needed to transfer patients to Austin or San Antonio. Our general surgeons and heart surgeons are skilled in a full range of surgical procedures, including minimally invasive techniques. Heart and Respiratory Care / Cardiopulmonary Services provides therapeutic & diagnostic services; respiratory therapists, pulmonary function and sleep studies; and the Children's Care-a-Van mobile clinic.

The Children’s Care-a-Van is a specially-equipped recreational vehicle featuring exam rooms and an immunization area. With weekly visits to area schools and day care centers, the Care-a-Van is a service of Ascension Seton Edgar B. Davis in cooperation with Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas.

Services provided without regard to ability to pay with sliding scale fees. Maximum fee per visit is $20 for uninsured patients. Medicine and on-site lab tests are provided at no charge. If necessary, X-rays and other diagnostics tests are arranged at Ascension Seton Edgar B. Davis in Luling. To schedule an appointment or request your child’s records, please call 512-738-0625 when on-site, typically 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tues. thru Fri. Van patient may also be served at Lockhart Clinic as nec.

Ascension Seton Smithville is a Critical Access hospital with 24/7 Emergency Department Care. Located 13 miles east of Bastrop, Texas, Ascension Seton Smithville provides inpatient and outpatient acute care services, including surgical and medical procedures. Our hospital and medical care teams have the experience and technology to provide the medical care you need, closer to home. Our general surgeons are skilled in a full range of surgical procedures, including minimally invasive techniques.
Our facility has been designed to offer a comforting environment for all of our patients, young and old. When you enter our hospital, whether you are undergoing surgery or simply visiting a friend, we hope you feel at home. Ascension Seton Smithville is part of a nonprofit safety net of hospitals serving communities regardless of the ability to pay.

Ascension Seton Southwest Hospital in Austin, Texas, is a full-service hospital with 24/7 emergency care. We deliver care for life-threatening injuries and illnesses. Our care teams listen to quickly understand your health needs and deliver care that's right for you. Ascension Seton Southwest is a destination for specialty care - including a suite of general surgery care, orthopedic surgery, gynecology surgery, robotic surgery and colonoscopy procedures. Additionally the care team offers cardiac rehabilitation, cardiovascular diagnostics, a wide range of imaging services and both adult and pediatric outpatient rehabilitation care, all on one campus. Dell Children’s Emergency Care is located onsite as well. Our primary and specialty care doctors offer advanced care close to home: Cardiac Rehabilitation, Colonoscopy; Emergency Care includng Dell Children’s Emergency Care Services for children.

The Seton Hays Foundation works with our local philanthropic community to measurably support adult patients of Seton Medical Center Hays, Seton Edgar B. Davis Hospital, Seton Southwest Hospital and Seton Smithville Regional Hospital. Every three years, a collaborative Community Needs Health Assessment is completed with implementation strategies as attached hereto. The metrics are for Ascension Seton Hays (ASH) medical center in Kyle, TX (Hays County). Other programs include the mobile Care-a-Vans, traveling to serve children in Hays, Caldwell and other neighboring counties.

Inpatient and outpatient care, including high level emergency department, adult rehabilitation (physical therapy and other therapies), maternity/labor & delivery, post-transplant care, high level cardiovascular medical care, stroke care, and more.

Ascension Seton has roots dating back to 1902 When the daughters of Charity came to Austin Texas to establish the first hospital for persons living in poverty. Expansion over the years has successfully grown into 120 clinical sites including 12 hospitals with the highest levels of care.

Since Ascension Seton Hays was established in 2008, The medical center has grown to include the McCoy wellness center, a myriad of rehabilitation programs post Heart Transplant care, labor and delivery, stroke care, and much more.
