Veterans Assistance

HOBS provides mentoring and short-term financial assistance to US combat veterans with an emphasis on those living with PTSD and other chronic issues. HOBS is also uniquely positioned to support LGBTQ veterans denied recognition and support due to their sexual orientation.

We provide short-term financial assistance to veteran's in need; we provide assistance navigating the Department of Veteran Affairs and we are working on a language immersion program to help veteran's with memory lapses due to PTSD gain back memory functions.

Our goal is to both provide financial support to veterans and assist them with connecting with organizations that can address their specific needs.

Our main strategy is to review all cases carefully, and then make a proper determination as to what kind of assistance we need to provide the specific person with.

We have developed a network of service providers, and also we coordinate an annual fundraising dinner.

Since our inception, we have assisted approximately 50 individuals, and have several cases still in progress.
