Our programs

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

VegFest Houston

In 2011, VSOP created the first purely vegan festival in Texas, which was repeated in 2012 and 2013, doubling attendance each year to about 3,000 in 2013. Most attendees were not yet vegan or even vegetarian. All this is happening in the midst of cattle country, necessitating a bigger (and much more expensive) venue to accommodate expected growth. Outgrowing our earlier venues we held our 2019 VegFest Houston in MinuteMaid Park.
