Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

IEDA Relief's vision is to establish a stable environment with sustainable solutions that benefit the population in need. We empower communities to become self-sufficient and to decide how to improve and save lives while bringing about change that is culturally acceptable and building upon existing efforts and successes.

We are committed to working in the most difficult conditions to reach the world’s poorest and most vulnerable people. We believe that investing in people and their abilities to support themselves and their families is critical to the long-term process of reducing poverty. We work to empower communities in conflict-torn and disaster-affected areas to save lives, sustain human dignity and restore healthy communities. We serve vulnerable people in need, regardless of their belief, culture, language, custom, sect, ethnicity and/or political affiliation.

IEDA Relief is an emerging organization committed to taking an open, flexible, adept and innovative approach to humanitarian and development work. As an organization, we focus on:

- Strong, strategic partnerships that pool resources to achieve significant impact
- An international team of capable, experienced staff that can design and implement projects efficiently even in challenging environments
- A strong network of dedicated and skilled board members, volunteers, interns, donors and supporters in the US and abroad
- A strong system of internal and external information-sharing, to provide real-time information and in-depth analysis in and from countries where we operate

IEDA Relief has come a long way since the organization was established in 2008:

- International team: We have built an international team of over 1200 staff members, over 80% of which are locally recruited staff from our countries of operation.

- Strong partnerships: We are a trusted implementing partner of 9 international organizations, including 7 UN Agencies, that have continuously supported our activities. We have also successfully coordinated with over 100 NGO, government, and private sector partners in our international operations in a total of 12 countries.

- Significant impact: Since 2008, we have directly helped over 1 million individuals affected by conflict, natural disasters and poverty to get back on their feet.
