Teen SMART

Women of Power Network's Teen SMART (Sisters Mastering Academics And Realizing their Talent) is a mentoring program designed to address the educational and social development needs of public high school girls; bridging the gap between students receiving a quality educational experience and students at risk due to social issues and or lack of resources and support plaguing our inner cities. We offer leadership and professional development guidance, educational resources and tools to aid students as they take an active role in planning and preparing for college.

We are seeking to close the educational, generational and socioeconomic gaps that have divided women and girls along these lines for too long. We believe that the power of a woman starts in her mind. Therefore, our goal is to provide tools and resources to help promote healthy self esteem, leadership, education and influence that will

Our strategy for meeting our results for success is to surround our fellows/mentees with mentors and coaches ready to share their intellectual, educational and professional knowledge to help expand our student's capacity for learning and developing healthy self worth. We will provide women and girls with tool and resources to help them identify their unique talents and help them navigate ways to cultivate and perfect them for the greater good of society.

We have passionate, professionals, volunteers, mentors, funders and community partners providing support to help us achieve results and impact. They believe in our mission and have witnessed our organization blossom with each cohort graduating from our program after 3 years of mentoring.

We have not raised enough funding to secure a facility or space of our own to run programming.
