Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Resolution Fellowships
Resolution identifies and empowers undergraduate students across the globe who wish to launch new social ventures supported by Resolution’s international network of resources. Resolution discovers young social entrepreneurs through Social Venture Challenges held at existing youth conferences, such as the Clinton Global Initiative University, the Youth Assembly at the United Nations, and others. Resolution enables the winners of its competitions to make a positive impact today through Resolution Fellowships. These Fellowships include dynamic, hands-on support, mentorship, and grants to implement their social ventures, which empower the recipients to develop as socially-responsible leaders.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
The Resolution Project is dedicated to developing socially-responsible young leaders and empowering them to make a positive impact today. Our vision is a generation of leaders with a lifelong commitment to social responsibility.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Resolution's Model:
1. Global Partnerships. We build close relationships with existing youth summits that serve broad communities of undergraduate students.
2. The Social Venture Challenge (“SVC"). We invite conference attendees to propose impactful ventures in a multi-stage competition – the SVC. The SVC is hosted at each of these conferences and provides a pathway to action for their attendees.
3. Resolution Fellowships. At the end of each SVC, we award Fellowships to those individuals with the most promising proposals and compelling personal leadership characteristics. We provide our Fellows with dynamic, hands-on support and mentorship, as well as seed funding.
This three-step process solidifies the commitment of these young leaders to social entrepreneurship, and equips them with the tools they need to make a direct and significant impact today.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Resolution relies on more than 500 dedicated and engaged volunteers to support our full-time staff. These volunteers come from diverse industries including law, finance, consulting, academia, and multilateral organizations. Volunteer responsibilities include: (1) supporting Fellows in the implementation of their ventures and professional development; (2) informing the strategic planning and development of Resolution's operations and program, and (3) serving as ambassadors of Resolution through networking, and rigorous outreach. Resolution is also drawing together a coalition of social sector and corporate partners to help its Fellows.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
Since our incorporation in 2007 we have accomplished the following:
• Growing our Fellow community to 540;
• Expanding our conference host relationships globally to include the Clinton Global Initiative University, the Youth Assemblies at the United Nations, Semester at Sea, and the Earth Summit at Columbia;
• Supporting Fellows on all six inhabited continents (60+ countries); working in issue areas including agriculture, sustainable development, education, energy and environment, health and wellness, humanitarian relief, equality and empowerment, and basic needs (food, water, etc.);
• Increasing fundraising from $21,265 in 2009 to over $1.6mm in 2017; and
• Hiring 15 full-time staff members.
Our goals for the near-term include:
• Developing opportunities to bring our Fellow community together in person on at least an annual basis.
• Continually enhancing our robust system of impact evaluation; and
• Hiring senior staff and appropriately expanding our volunteer corps.
