Food insecurity of those who are economically challenged or homeless.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Meal and Food Programs
Each Monday and Wednesday, 12 pm to 2 pm, Open Hands Midway prepares and serves a free nutritious meal. Fresh produce, deli and bakery items are also available during this time.
Food Shelf
Open Hands Midway operates a food shelf to provide for families in the Hamline-Midway/Union Park and surrounding communities of Saint Paul, MN.
Produce Distribution
Through a partnership with Second Harvest Heartland, fresh farm raised produce is distributed in late summer through fall, rain or shine.

What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Open Hands Midway seeks to leverage contributors' gifts in order to continue our FREE meal program and food shelf services in the Midway are of St. Paul Minnesota.

We continually work to make vital connections with stakeholders, both small and large, who can come along side of us to provide this vital service in our community.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Our Board of Directors and sub-committees are constantly planning for and seeking out new and expanded partnerships where the stakeholders have passions for food justice and the need to address the ever increasing food insecurity issues of our community.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
For 10 years we have worked to ensure that any neighbor who needs help to put food on the table can find it. Today, our work focuses on building collaborative partnerships that impact the health and well-being of individuals in the community we serve.
