Five powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

What is the organization aiming to accomplish?

BBT's overall all goal is to be developing and supporting the leaders of 1,000 BBT groups through the deployment of The Leadership Flywheel™ by the year 2020.

The Leadership Flywheel™ is a relational process focused on increasing an individual leader’s spiritual growth in Jesus Christ, with the goal of encouraging and equipping him or her to develop other spiritual leaders. Through this “asymmetric leadership development” approach, Biblical Business Training® (BBT) coaches calibrate the Leadership Flywheel to the unique calling, competencies, personality traits, and vocation of each BBT group leader.

Through the work of the Holy Spirit, BBT coaches play the pivotal role in the Leadership Flywheel. Dr. Jim Egli’s comprehensive small group research indicates that coaching (i.e., the mentoring and supporting of a group leader) is the greatest driver of small group growth and health, even more so than training and prayer. Therefore, BBT coaches communicate with BBT leaders regularly using assessment documents to track leader progress.

At an individual leader level, Leadership Flywheel impact is monitored by BBT coaches during each coaching interaction with a group leader by logging the leader’s progress in applying each principle of the Leadership Flywheel (i.e., Learning, Living, Leading, and Legacy). When applied, each principle results in observable individual behaviors, which indicates the impact when compared to previous coaching assessments.

Each Leadership Flywheel principle relates to observable group behaviors, and the following quantitative data is collected by monitoring group attendance records over time.

Learning: How many participants are attending?
Living: How many new participants are attending because they were invited by current participants?
Leading: How many co-leaders are sharing the leadership responsibilities of the group?
Legacy: How many new BBTs are generated from the group?
