Our programs

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Family Volunteering Program

Engage children and their parents/caregivers in volunteer activities that help the community while also teaching the children about the importance of service.

Population(s) Served
Children and youth

Education is paired with community service to allow youth to learn-by-doing, expanding their knowledge of the community and inspiring self-motivated engagement. This program is offered in the fall and spring for children in 3rd - 5th grade.

Children learn about a specific community need alongside their peers, brainstorm solutions together, volunteer, and reflect on what they have learned in the program while working independently on a personal service project.

Population(s) Served
Children and youth

Middle school and high school students develop leadership skills throughout our summer Youth Leadership Program. Participants are trained alongside their peers in group facilitation, communication, problem solving, nonprofits, and fundraising. Then, they put this learning into action: leading or co-leading our Family Volunteering Activities and designing service projects to benefit the community. They stay on our service pathway and help inspire the next generation of volunteers and community leaders.
Teens take on a leadership role in our organization, positioning them for lifelong community leadership.
Teen Co-Leads (Middle School) train and assist our experienced Activity Leads at some of our larger activities, while completing an independent project to help our community.

Teen Leads (High School) train and work with our volunteer families to improve our community and teach our youth about empathy, hard work and service, while completing a group project of their choice

Population(s) Served
Adolescents
