Mission
Hope is what drives us all. Hope for the future, hope for happiness, hope for security, hopes for our families and children. The greatest gift we can give each other, more than any material possession or physical comfort, is hope. This is Global Nurse Initiative's simple and ultimate goal, to bring hope through bridging the gap between systems of healthcare and communities.
We accomplish this through improving that availability of nurses and nurse education in resource-limited areas.

Roberts Community Health Scholarship
The Roberts Community Health Scholarship evolved from GNI's Nursing leadership Scholarship that was established in the summer of 2011. This new format was designed in loving memory of long time supporter and friend Kimberly Roberts, ACNP.
The focus of this scholarship is to; support promising nursing students with brilliant cost-effective ideas on how to aid the health of their communities. This scholarship is focused on fostering student-led community health projects and financially supporting them through seed grants for their projects and full years tuition towards their nursing education.

What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Our ultimate goal is to no longer be needed to the extent we are presently. The help support in-country health resources to ensure the youth are receiving the healthcare they need
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Our strategies for improving sustainable healthcare is to help support local citizens by providing education and resources so they can meet the needs of their own communities
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
We rely heavily on the monetary support we receive from donors. None of our staff receive a salary and presently we contribute a large amount of personal funds to continue to support our projects.We also have created in country relationships with other NGOs to help support our projects when we can not be on the ground
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
We have had 3 nurses graduate through our program and we continue to support others. We have not yet found the youth healthcare to have achieved full independence from our support. Monetary, shortages, lack of trained healthcare staff and poor infrastructure are several of the reasons for this but we still strive to meet our goals each year getting a little closer
