What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

Where do the unemployed go to network and meet other people? Many churches or other organizations have a networking meeting but how do you find out about them. www.CareerDFW.org was created to put all of these meetings on one website. Besides a calendar and group listing, the website also has a list of all the job fairs in the DFW area and much other career-related information all in one place. CareerDFW has NO full or part-time staff, we are 100% a volunteer organization. It is hard to ask the unemployed to make donations when they are out of work. When they get that next great opportunity, they forget to help support CareerDFW. Since Covid started we started online FREE career training. From February 2020 thru 2021 we put on 408 workshops consisting of over 530 hours of training.

On our website, our goal is:

Giving you the tools to land your next great opportunity.™

When Jeff Morris, President, and Founder gives talks to career groups (about 30 talks a year) he states that his Vision for CareerDFW is:
A place for unaffiliated career groups (expanded to include ALL career and networking groups)
A place for the best files
A place to post jobs for everyone to see (There is a free job board for anyone to post a job for 21 days.)

The www.CareerDFW.org website meets the above goals and add even more items related to a job search.

Since Covid started we started online FREE career training. From February 2020 thru 2021 we put on 408 workshops consisting of over 530 hours of training.

CareerDFW has reached out to the local workforce centers and formed partnerships. Job seekers who have heard Jeff Morris' talk about CareerDFW know that they "are the eyes and ears of the website", if they find out about an event or other information and it is not on the CareerDFW website, to email and let us know. Share and help everyone.
