#DefendtheOrphan
Programs and results
What we aim to solve
There are over 150 million orphans in the world today. Sadly only 250,000 get adopted each year. That leaves 99% to be cared for right where they are. Coreluv’s vision is to bring the love of Jesus to the orphan by providing their 6 basic needs: clean water, proper food, education, health care, job skills and a loving Christ-centered home.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Our dream is to bring hope and love to orphans. We do this by partnering with communities and orphanages around the world. We work in impoverished areas to provide an orphan's six basic needs and to see hope returned to children, families, and communities across nations.
CLEAN WATER: For many orphans, clean water is a rare luxury and often times found miles away. This fact is a driving force for Coreluv to ensure children have access to clean drinking water.
PROPER FOOD: Since nutritious food for many orphans is uncommon, Coreluv is committed to providing our children with the nutritious meals that every child needs to stay healthy.
HEALTHCARE: Each orphan in Coreluv's care receives regular medical attention, daily nutritional supplements and specialized medical procedures.
EDUCATION: To help break the cycle of poverty, each of the children in a Coreluv sponsored orphanage is provided an empowering education.
JOB SKILLS: To ensure that we are not just transforming the lives of children, but whole communities and nations, we teach various trade skills to help our orphans make a difference where they live.
LOVING HOME: We provide not only a Christ-centered home, but also a loving family where children develop lifelong relationships.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Our two primary strategies are partnership with the local church and orphanage sponsorships.
CHURCH PARTNERSHIP: Coreluv International is deeply committed to introducing the orphan to the local church. We believe the greatest impact comes not because the orphan needs the church, but because the church desperately needs the orphan. We value the honor and responsibility we have to partner with local churches both in the US and throughout the nations.
ORPHANAGE SPONSORSHIP: Orphanage sponsorships provide financial partners the opportunity to help provide the six basic needs for every child within a specific Coreluv orphanage by making a financial commitment of $30 a month. $1 a day can help save an orphan's life. The benefit of orphanage sponsorship is that all children within a Coreluv orphanage have their six basic needs provided for rather than individual children being chosen and others being neglected. The school, church, water well, community center, and medical clinic established or partnered with for a particular orphanage will benefit a whole community. The community is equipped as an overflow of orphanage sponsorships. Sponsors (churches, families, and individuals) experience a true sense of partnership and connectivity with the children of the orphanage they sponsor.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
For the orphanage in Myan, Haiti, Coreluv International has been able to provide for the 6 basic needs of the children by doing the following: (1) building two functioning water wells, (2) hiring Haitian cooks to make homemade meals from food purchased from local vendors, (3) paying for a full-time on-sight nurse and completing the clinic build-out by December 2015, (4) hosting rotating medical providers from the US, (5) having Haitian teachers teach a Haitian curriculum at the school's orphanage, (6) teaching transitional orphans screen printing and how to run a small business, (7) providing the loving orphanage for orphans, and (8) having over 35 Pastoral-approved churches supporting monthly the orphanage.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
The following highlights what we have accomplished:
Through mission trips and church partnerships, thousands of believers have been introduced to the orphans and as a result, they are using their talents, relationships, and resources to defend the orphan. The orphan crisis is no longer an overwhelming number but a face and a name whose life they can help improve.
We have partnered with multiple orphanages helping to provide for hundreds of orphaned children.
Tens of thousands of meals have been provided to children who live in extreme poverty.
An orphanage has been built in Myan, Haiti and is providing a loving home for every child entrusted in our care.
A school has been built providing employment opportunities to qualified Haitians and a quality education to the orphaned children we are responsible for as well as local children who otherwise would not be receiving an education.
Water wells have been dug providing an orphanage and a community with clean drinking water.
A health center has been built to not only provide quality healthcare but the education needed to prevent the most basic health issues that cause thousands of unnecessary deaths.
Older children are learning job skills, leadership characteristics, and business management through our job skills program.
The following highlights what we haven't accomplished:
Coreluv International looks forward to expanding its model to other countries and equipping missionaries called to orphan care through a school of missions.
