Mission

As an organization, APANTLI’s mission is to support the development of education and stability through sustained relationships with access to a wide range of existing community supportive services that enhance the quality of life, promote financial stability and emotional self sufficiency, develop leadership skills, improve academic achievement, and cultivate community pride and spirit.
APANTLI - cultivates partnerships with policy makers, service providers, residents, and the faculty and students of local educational institutions such as colleges, universities and other institutions that develop programs and provide services that improve the quality of life in our community.

APANTLI is committed to working with local government to create a seamless system of services that can better serve children and youth (and their families) at risk of dropping out of school, falling into gangs and other behavior that leads to self distruction.

APANTLI believes that:

1. All families have a right to live in an environment that is conducive to personal growth and self empowerment. 2. All families have a right to live and thrive within any community without losing their traditional values and culture.

All children must have equal access to every educational opportunity available to them so that they can compete equally for employment opportunities in the workforce. 3. All families have an obligation to give back to the community by sharing what they have learned and by supporting others.

The physical and emotional health of families is critical to the stability of the family unit. APANTI promotes healthy lifestyles for youth that include exercise through school athletic programs and sports activities, linkages with free local health opportunities offered by healthcare institutions, and partnerships with local substance abuse prevention programs and mental health systems.

The public school system offers students countless opportunities to expand their education in many fields including vocational careers. Additionally, several local private schools have scholarships, low interest loans and grants for students to pursue career opportunities; however, information is not readily available in all communities. APANTLI facilitates family access to existing educational opportunities for their entire family. Furthermore, APANTLI with its curriculum driven approach (FRONTERAS) will shadow families and facilitate the eligibility process to promote access.

APANTLI believes that our roots ground us to core traditional values that give us pride and self-respect. These values must incorporate promoting and celebrating other cultures through exposure and education. APANTLI is committed to promoting Linguistic, cultural and art traditions.
