What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Program 1

Continued to educate hundreds of high school and middle school students through our Athletes Saving Athletes(ASA)educational outreach program, teaching signs and symptoms of concussions, sudden cardiac arrest & heat illness. Students learn CPR and AED use. Program materials and videos continually updated.

Grew our education outreach and medical advisory team with our UC San Diego Sports Medicine partnership, expanding our ASA program reach to hundreds of student athletes within the San Diego community. With the help of UCSD physicians, we compiled and published our successful program data, showing a significant increase in knowledge among our student athlete population after attending our program. The results were presented in an abstract form at UCSD/ San Diego Community Health Research Day.

Invited to present our organization and our Athletes Saving Athletes program to thousands of athletic trainers at their annual professional meeting. Thousands of athletic trainers attended our presentation, met our founding ambassadors and attended the Athletes Saving Athletes program. We created and dispersed educational materials and with the help of the athletic training experts we began work on the educational section of our website.
