Our programs

Rescue and Adoption of Dogs and Cats
Since 2010 we have been a state-licensed, no-kill, non-profit animal shelter in a rural, low-income area. Our sources of funding are limited to donations, grants, fundraisers, and adoption income. We accept animals at no charge, from families where the pet owner has died or entered a nursing home and from owners who must move and can't take their pets with them. We also accept strays brought in by the public and by local law enforcement. Although we are a small facility, we adopt out approximately 160 dogs and 60 cats each year. We are proud of the care and attention given all our animals while in our care until their forever homes are found.
