Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Child Proof Training and Safety Equipment
Child Proof Advice offers online training on child proofing the home for first-time parents. We teach how and when to child proof through an easy-to-understand D.I.Y. Safety Guide and ebook .
When children first begin to crawl their curiosity about the world around them triples as they explore any and everything. Preschoolers develop motor skills, but they have poor impulse control and judgment. They don’t have the strength, coordination nor maturity to avoid injury and their curiosity is a powerful force. As a result, they enter one of the most dangerous times of their lives when they are at the highest risk for injury.
Your question is not will your child find hazards in the home, but when...

Participation in professional organizations such as the Adoptive and Foster Care Parents Association, Lowe's (and others) annual health fair, local Safe Kids Coalitions, hospital parenting classes, television and radio interviews (WCNC-TV and Disney Radio)

Fundraisers such as Belk's Charity Day Sale, Autobell car wash ticket sales, Share Charlotte Giving Tuesday and Amazon Smile participation.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
The personal commitment of our Founder and volunteers to protect children and to the energy and hard work necessary to make everything happen.
The wisdom, stability, strength and planned expansion of our Board of Directors.
The utilization of Volunteer Match and university intern programs to find volunteers to help meet our goals; we now have 7 volunteers.
Continued growth of financial resources and revenue generation and sponsor commitments.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
Child Proof Advice originated by offering classroom style training workshops to hospital birthing classes, health departments, child care facilities, adoption agencies, nanny programs, military bases etc.
Modest workshop attendance and limited interest indicated a more modern approach was necessary. An exciting website offering online parent and professional training and the publication of a downloadable e-book safety guide resulted.
This operational foundation is nearing completion allowing us to focus on marketing of the entire program to the original entities, but in a new format. Safety products and equipment have been ordered and stored, marketing materials are in place and communications are expanding with contacts increasing.
Additional plans are in place to begin direct customer contact to all targeted markets in January, 2019 including hospital parenting classes and to connect with offices of obstetrician and pediatric physicians. We also plan to make additional donations of our educational program and safety equipment to the Department of Social Services Care Ring Nurse Family Partnership organization which helps first time mothers with limited resources.
