Elm City ChamberFest Summer Program
Elm City ChamberFest’s summer program is a two-week intensive chamber music course for intermediate and advanced string and piano students from ages 8 - 18. In addition to participating in their weekly chamber music performances, students, in small 5:1 student to teacher ratio class sizes, receive daily coachings, private lessons and master classes from ECCF faculty. Additional instruction is provided by internationally renowned guest artists that offer master classes and coachings throughout the two weeks. Students also have the opportunity to observe a world class group of faculty and guest artists in performances as part of an evening concert series during the summertime. Additionally, the ECCF program includes a variety of electives and enrichment classes such as string orchestra, cello choir, guitar ensemble, music theory, children’s choir, Jazz, Klezmer, Theater Improvisation, Yoga, and Alexander Technique.
Summer Advanced Piano Institute
In addition to daily chamber music coachings, pianists aged 13 - 18 participate in specialized technique classes, work closely in master classes and private lessons with faculty and guest artists on solo repertoire, performance practice and accompanying skills. Pianists are asked to bring two previously learned solo works at the start of summer classes so that they fully benefit from the experience of working with the faculty and guest artists during the two weeks. Students' schedules include two private lessons per week that explore both solo as well as chamber repertoire, chamber music coachings, practice time, piano technique and sight reading classes, as well as a choice of electives.
Fall/ Spring Chamber Music Instruction
During the fall and spring semesters, weekly chamber music classes are offered to students of all ages. Student performances at the end of each semester.
Faculty and Guest Artist Concerts and Master Classes
Additional instruction is provided by internationally renowned guest artists that offer master classes and coachings throughout the two week summer program, and throughout the school year. World class faculty and guest artist performances are part of an evening concert series during the ECCF summertime season, as well as additional performances throughout the school year.
Outreach Concerts
