What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

The need that Project Beauty Share is working to address is that many women in need are without basic necessities. Did you know that public assistance, such as SNAP food benefits, do not cover personal hygiene items like toothpaste, tampons, or shampoo? Hence, Project Beauty Share filling this gap to ensure that women in need are provided the necessary resources. A woman should never have to choose between basic hygiene and a meal for their children.

Beauty Wishes

Each spring, Project Beauty Share partners with social influencer and beauty vlogger ThaTaylaa for a 2-week social media engagement campaign called Beauty Wishes. Five non profit agencies who align with our mission, from five major US cities, are chosen to participate in a voting campaign. Major sponsors award product to these organizations, and a cash award is presented to the agency with the most votes.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

Project Beauty Share collects personal hygiene, cosmetics and beauty products and distribute them to nonprofit organizations who serve women and families overcoming abuse, addiction, homelessness and poverty. We help marginalized women rebuild their lives by giving them an opportunity to be a part of the community. Our goal is to restore hope and dignity within each of these women.

Our strategies for making this happen is to continue sharing our mission and asking our community to get behind our movement, along with broadening our geographical outreach. We will continue with our Beauty Wishes campaign where we partner with a social media influencer, Taylor Wynn, to choose 5 organizations across the country. These organizations each receive gracious quantities of donated product from our brand sponsors as well as a chance to win $10,000. The Beauty Wishes campaign not only generated revenue for Project Beauty Share, but also generated national exposure, awareness, and partnerships with nonprofit organizations from all over the United States.
Along with our Beauty Wishes Campaign, we host a fundraiser every year, Evening en Blanc. Project Beauty Share helps give women a fresh start as they are transitioning from addiction to recovery, or from welfare to work/school. We love the idea that white symbolizes a fresh start and that is why we require guests to be dressed in white. Over event will continue to grow and raise funds that will be directed back to our organization.

Project Beauty Share recently added two new positions in 2019, an Executive Director and a Development Director. With our added employees, our capacity to meet our goals and grow has only increased.

Project Beauty Share was founded in 2009 and since our inception, the organization has grown rapidly. In 2015, we distributed 4,740 pounds of product to
