What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
The World Animal Awareness Society exists through relationships with government and non government organizations that use our special skill sets, such as producing educational lesson plans fro Detroit 5th grade students, based on information obtained from the 1st American Strays Canine Survey the World Animal Awareness Society created for volunteer deployment in Detroit.
As a non profit focused on telling human - animal stories, we have a commitment to be observers first and tell stories that compel people to action from a truth perspective. We are attempting to cut through the NGO marketing static to reveal truths that lead to positive, lasting change.
The use of contemporary technology, such as High Def story telling, GPS enabled tracking devices, cloud based Google Mapping tools, the use of social and broadcast platforms, and relationships with institutions of higher learning are all employed to allowing the World Animal Awareness Society to reach our goals.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
We are able to do all of the following in house:
1. Write
2. Storyboard
3. Produce
4. Direct
5. Edit
6. Color Correct
7. Brand & Market TV, Feature Length Films, and online digital interactive media including educational lesson plans and other content
We are Google Grant recipients and are experienced in utilizing many important hardware and software tools that allow us to exploit our non profit status.
Through relationships with Universities, the WA2S is able to tap into a host a scientific areas, including roaming dog statistics. Currently, the WA2S is considered one of the top 5 NGO's working in the area of dog population management through our American Strays Project.
Our strengths as media producers allow us to accomplish complex tasks. See http://www.WA2S.org/american-strays
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
Our progress for the American Strays Project indicates we are right on track. It took 3 years to build the program using the correct procedures, and we are seeing the fruits of our labor.

The American Strays Project team has developed a strategy that takes the program through 2030 - adding the question of "How many pets are in your house?" on the 2030 US census.
