Programs and results
What we aim to solve
Rosie's Ranch, its Board of Directors, and Volunteers are striving to increase social capacity for children with special needs.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Pony/Horse Camp
This is Day camp for children with and without special needs who have the opportunity to learn how to have and to be friends with some one very different from themselves. They are joined together by a horse or pony whom they learn to ride and care for.
Parent & Tot - Saturday mornings
This program is designed for parents and their children with special needs. The goal is to help parents learn about "teachable moments" . We support parents as their child's 1st teacher, and support receiving "therapy" in every aspect of live....far away from the therapy table.
Volunteer Program
Rosie's Ranch hosts over 250 volunteers each year. We support the community out reach programs at local high schools and the court systems. Volunteers are welcomed at RR for no fee.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
The goals of Rosie's Ranch have been set forth as the following:
1. To provide therapeutic horseback riding programs to 100 children with special needs annually, with the following specifics:
a. In a healthy mainstream setting, joining children with and without special needs
b. The children will be teamed together with a horse, to learn about the similarities and accept their differences
c. By creating these unlikely friendships all children will increase social capacity and positive character
2. To enrich our communities with knowledge of therapeutic riding programs by attending 12 events annually that include but are not
limited to:
a. Attending community fairs and events
b. Hosting opportunities for the public to earn required community service hours
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Our strategic planning committee is currently revisiting our strategies.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Rosie's Ranch has already proved their ability to meet these goals by our success and growth over the past eight years.
The Board of Directors has approved to continue the following:
1. Provide programing for children with special needs 10 months out of the year:
A. Summer Day Camp
B. Parent and Tot Program
C. Private and Semi Private therapeutic riding lessons
2. Continue Current Fundraising strategies
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
Rosie's Ranch has filled the niche that provides young children with special needs to learn about themselves and advocate for that difference in a warm and welcoming atmosphere that is away from school support staff, away from their parents and away for a therapist's office.
These children are able to learn about friendship through the love and bond of an equine partner.
