Mission

The Light of Healing Hope Foundation is a charitable organization dedicated to providing books of hope as gifts to hospitals and hospices, to comfort patients and their families at a time of adversity. Over 48,000 of our books have been distributed as gifts to over 80 centers, including Johns Hopkins, NIH, Walter Reed, Fisher House, St. Jude's, the American Red Cross, Ronald McDonald House, among many others. We strive to increase our list of donations to continue providing comfort to those in need.

To Catch a Thought

Our pocket-size mini book TO CATCH A THOUGHT was produced from a most generous grant from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. This grant supports the production and distribution of this mini book, which combines photographic images with verses of inspirational poetry, in both print and digital formats. Established in 2010, the Light of Healing Hope Foundation provides books of hope as gifts to hospitals and other organizations to provide comfort for patients and their families at a time of adversity. The mini book combines poetry and images meant to inspire hope, courage, love, and comfort.

The Light of Healing Hope Foundation (LHHF) has provided free illustrated, inspirational poetry books (including musical accompaniment DVDs) for hospitals to distribute to patients, family members, or caregivers. Likewise, LHHF does not charge the hospitals or hospice distributors for its books which are shipped free of charge to such health care providers. In order to encourage the healing process, LHHF further provides Healing Message booklets for patients to write or draw their own thoughts to nurture the spiritual healing from within.

Released in September 2018, this illustrated book contains timeless reflections from the world’s most noted philosophers, poets, philanthropists, innovators, and others. Each quote offers observations remarkably relevant to our modern lives just as they were many centuries ago. Their insights, musings, and conclusions offer delightful, inspirational, uplifting thoughts for all readers seeking comfort and hope. We have shipped these books to hospitals and hospice facilities (free of charge) to be distributed as gifts to patients, families, and caregivers.
